We love gin. From a simple gin & tonic through to all the amazing gin cocktails out there, gin mixes amazingly, with nearly everything. But here’s the point, it was never designed to. Gin pre-dates cocktails. It was originally made to be drunk neat or with water. It was never meant to be drunk with tonic water, or anything else for that matter; it is blind luck that gin mixes so well.
Now let’s face it, the last thing the world needs is another gin. There are literally 1000’s of new ones out there to try. And we didn’t want to just add another flavour or 2 to a gin, like rhubarb or violet. So when we realised the reason why gin mixes so well, we thought we’d found the perfect excuse to make something completely different.
Take that reason (the clue is in the picture) and build a delicious new kind of mixing spirit around it, designed from its inception to make every drink more refreshing, with bucket loads of citrus and zingy, uplifting spice notes. Think turbo-lemon-sherbet-for-grown-ups.
So we began to experiment. When you’re trying to create something new, it takes time. So many paths, so many dead ends, and a truckload of trial batches on each path. But we got there in the end on our ninth design route, a delicious blend of coriander, citrus and spice with awesome mixing abilities.
